Founded nearly 11 years ago by Physical Therapists, Orange County natives, and brothers Stephen and Christopher Albanese and their wives Shannon and Janet. One of our Access Physical Therapy and Wellness practices, is located at Port Jervis in Orange County and is directed by Dr. Kristin Banse. With over 23 years of experience, Dr. Kristin Banse has concentrated in the field of orthopedic/sports medicine physical therapy for the past 15 years. She graduated from Ithaca College in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy. Dr. Banse holds certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and is also LSVT BIG certified. In addition, she is a certified APTA clinical instructor and holds a dual license in New York and Pennsylvania.

Serving Orange County for many years, Ellen Knapp-Hayden is another member of the team at Access Physical Therapy and Wellness in Port Jervis. After being a registered nurse for over 20 years, she decided to pursue a second career as a Physical Therapist Assistant and graduated from the SUNY Orange program in 2003. Ellen is also certified as as Senior Exercise Specialist, LSVT BIG, and APTA clinical instructor.

At Port Jervis, Dr. Banse and her staff of physical therapists will work diligently to ensure a speedy recovery and good health while also providing a great overall experience. Their goal is for every patient to complete their therapy with relief of their symptoms, an understanding about their condition, tips to stay healthy, and an improved quality of life.
