WOODSTOCK, N.Y. (OCT. 31, 2016)—Woodstock Physical Therapy has recently partnered with Access Physical Therapy & Wellness. The partnership allows the clinic in Woodstock to be able to focus on their patients while allowing Access to fulfill the back-end roles, such as billing, insurance reimbursement, payroll, and other logistical support that often takes time away from patients.
The benefits don’t stop at a lightened load of paperwork. The employees of the clinic will now have employer provided health insurance and a 401K retirement plan. With more than 20 clinics in the Hudson Valley, employees also have more room for advancement than an individual practice can offer. Beyond partnering with existing practices, Access has opened many of its own clinics, and promotes from within to fill leadership roles when they open new clinics.“The Woodstock clinic provides the same great care to their patients that they have for the past 30 years. Access has a patient focused culture that encourages one-on-one treatment and seeing only two patients per hour,” said Ellie Kramer, director of the Woodstock clinic and physical therapist. “Many companies want you to squeeze in as many patients in a day as possible. Access encourages us to continue working with our patients the same way that we have in the past, while taking some of the stress out of the administrative tasks behind the scenes. If they had wanted us to change our treatment practices, I would not have partnered with them. We are very excited to join forces.”
“Access has been named one of the best companies to work for in New York on three separate occasions,” said Kramer. “In seeking out this partnership, I wanted to be able to do three things: keep treating our patients in the ways they had become accustomed to, focus on practicing physical therapy while relegating the paperwork to someone I can trust, and maintain a workplace that would provide opportunities and benefits for my employees that I was not previously able to provide.”
The clinic provides services for orthopedic injuries, back and neck pain, balance problems and dizziness, difficulty walking, headaches, TMJ, and various neurological conditions.
Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturdays.
Access Physical Therapy & Wellness is a participating provider with most insurance plans, including Medicare, NYS Government Empire Plan, Empire Blue Cross/Blue Shield, United Health Care, and no-fault insurance.
