Karen Schwarzchild, MAPT, regional director of the New Fairfield and Brookfield offices, and Susan Anderson, PT, director of the Brookfield office, will continue in their director roles under the new ownership.
“We’re pleased to be expanding our presence in Connecticut, and look forward to providing top-notch care for patients in these two new locations,” said Access Physical Therapy & Wellness co-owner Chris Albanese, PT, MS, CSCS. “Physical Therapy Arts is a great practice that meets our high standards of care and will be a great addition to the Access family.”
Access Physical Therapy & Wellness was established in 2003, with the goal of providing the best possible care to those seeking physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Over the past 15 years, they have partnered with multiple practices that share their core values to provide the resources and support of a large physical therapy organization in a small, patient-centric clinic setting. The practice continues to expand to provide more convenient locations to better serve their growing number of patients.
Schwarzchild received her bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from New York University and her master’s degree in motor learning from Columbia University. She specializes in treatment of the spine, sacrum, headaches, as well as many manual techniques such as MFR and mobilizations for various orthopedic conditions including the spine and extremities. Anderson has more than 30 years of experience working in various clinical settings. She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy.
“Access Physical Therapy & Wellness is a great company with a great reputation,” said Schwarzchild. “We’re pleased to be combining our efforts with them to be able to best serve our patients and the community.”
