Tim Mertz is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh’s Sports Medicine, Athletic Training Program, where he received his Bachelor’s (B.S.) in Movement Science, and achieved certification as an Athletic Trainer (ATC). He received his Master’s of physical therapy (MPT) at Nova Southeastern University, and defended his thesis successfully, which investigated pain thresholds and pain reporting behaviors among populations of varied fitness levels. As a clinical physical therapist, the concentration of his career has been devoted to outpatient care of orthopedic, musculoskeletal injuries. Tim’s is passionate about lifestyle modification, injury prevention and active forms of rehabilitation and recovery. In his free time, Tim enjoys golf, skiing, and spending time with his wife and 2 children.
