Born and raised in Westchester, Jess experienced a string of ACL tears at a young age from injuries sustained during AAU basketball. After each injury, with the guidance of her physical therapist, she was determined to return to sports. It was in physical therapy that her passion for helping others blossomed. She went on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from New York Medical College in 2012 after attaining a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.
Jess worked for four years in Tampa, Florida, in an outpatient orthopedic setting. There, Jess worked on treating varying diagnoses and patient populations. Most recently, she worked at Massachusetts General Hospital for two years, where she rotated within acute rehabilitation specialties including oncology, surgical, and trauma teams. Jess has completed coursework in McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment of the lumbar and cervical spine. She has a passion for assessing and providing the best treatments on an individual basis to restore function, reduce pain, and to prevent the recurrence of dysfunction.
In her free time, Jess enjoys cooking, rooting for the Jets and Mets, and doting over her dog, Cody. She recently crossed an item off her bucket list in 2017: completing the New York City Marathon! She believes in the values of Access Physical Therapy and Wellness on both a professional and interpersonal level, and is excited to join the team as Director of the Cortlandt Manor office.
