Heather Shantora is the CEO of pt Healthcare, one of Canada’s largest national physiotherapy companies, and InnoCare, a health technology company with a proprietary suite of software and services. Under Heather’s leadership, both organizations have solidified their position as healthcare leaders focused on the development of innovative healthcare technology and patient-centered care. She credits this success to her team and their collective commitment to creative thinking; a willingness to challenge the status quo; authentically caring for and empowering teams; and an entrepreneurial skill set firmly focused on value creation.
With a degree in Economics from McMaster University and a Master’s degree from Schiller International University in Paris, Heather continues to study national and international markets, successfully identifying opportunities for business growth. Most recently completing executive education courses at Stanford University in California.
Prior to her appointment as CEO, Heather served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and President in two respective divisions of PT Healthcare after leaving a long career as a political advisor. In 2018, Heather was invited to participate in the G7 Women’s Forum, a discussion among global CEO’s focused on gender equality in the workplace. When not working, Heather enjoys spending time with her two young children, travelling, and recently completed the New York City marathon.
